Important Tax and Labor Dates To Remember
December 31 — Employees should access the Employee Gateway system to verify their name, social security number, and address to ensure their W-2 information is accurate. If any errors are noted please let the payroll office know as soon as possible.
January 31 — Deadline for SDSU Research Foundation to send all Forms W-2 forms to employees.
February 16 — Employees who wish to claim "Exempt" status from Federal and/or State withholding taxes for the current year must file new tax forms by this date.
March 2 — Deadline for SDSU Research Foundation to send all Forms 1095-C to employees.
March 15 — Deadline for SDSU Research Foundation to send all Forms 1042S to foreign national employees.
April 15 — Income tax returns are due to Federal and State agencies for all employees who have received wages unless they have filed for an extension.
Note: Any amounts due must be paid by this date even if the employee files for an extension.
June 15 — Deadline to file 1040NR if the employee is a nonresident alien who did not receive wages as an employee subject to U.S. income tax withholding.
