SRCC is responsible for the processes that take place “at award” including the receipt, review, negotiation and acceptance of sponsored program agreements, the preparation, negotiation and issuance of sub-agreements, and coordination of compliance documentation with SDSU’s Division of Research Affairs.

SRCC works closely with Sponsored Research Development and Sponsored Research Administration , as well as SDSU’s Division of Research Affairs , to ensure that sponsor, SDSU, and SDSURF policies, particularly in compliance areas such as human and animal subjects, conflict of interest, cost sharing, export controls, responsible conduct of research, and environmental health and safety are being met. SRCC also initiates the subcontracting process for grants and contracts and assists with the subrecipient monitoring process.
