Whenever an employee's service is terminated for any reason, voluntarily or involuntarily (such as for lack of funds or lack of work), it is critical that human resources be promptly notified in writing. The written notice should include the final day worked and the reason for separation. The completed time report must be submitted to Payroll in Workforce Time and Attendance at least two days before the employee’s last workday in order to process the final paycheck.
