Sponsored Research Development (SRD) (Pre-Award)
Our Sponsored Research Development (SRD) team is the “pre-award” department and assists faculty and staff in the development and submission of proposals for sponsored research and educational projects. Faculty are encouraged to contact SRD after a sponsor has been identified and a proposal is being developed.
SRD staff can assist with interpreting guidelines and sponsor submission requirements, contacting potential sponsors, pre-proposal and letter preparation, proposal and budget development, application forms, university approvals, proposal submissions, compliance items, follow-up, communications, and other pre-award needs. Additional services are also available. Faculty are encouraged to contact the department with requests for special assistance.
The Research Advancement team assists with conceptual development, strategizing, and writing of proposals. They are also happy to review proposals before submission and recommend improvements.
