Radiation Safety
SDSU is licensed by the State of California to use a wide range of radioactive materials and radiation-producing machines for research and instructional purposes. The authority to approve the use of radioactive materials is vested in the Radiation Safety Committee. Questions regarding the acquisition and use of radioactive materials can be addressed to the Radiation Safety Officer within the Department of Environmental Health and Safety at extension 594-6879. The Radiation Safety Office can provide information regarding approved users and materials to SDSU Research Foundation upon request.
