Trafficking in Persons FAR 52.222.50
As a government contractor, SDSU Research Foundation employees have the responsibility to observe the laws and regulations affecting SDSU Research Foundation and its operations.
The United States Government has adopted a zero tolerance policy regarding trafficking in persons. Contractors and contractor employees shall not engage in severe forms of trafficking in persons during the period of performance of federal contracts; procure commercial sex acts during the period of performance of federal contracts; or use forced labor in the performance of federal contracts.
Violation of this policy by any employee engaged in a government contract may result in removal from the contract or termination of employment.
The End Human Trafficking in Government Contracts Act of 2022 builds on the existing anti-human trafficking framework at Federal Acquisition Regulation (“FAR”) § 52.222-50 (Combatting Trafficking in Persons) by requiring agencies to refer contractor reports of potential human trafficking activity directly to an agency suspension and debarment official (“SDO”).
For further information on this policy please contact the Director of Human Resources at 619-594-4139.
