Building access changes
Following suit with SDSU policy changes, effective 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, the access schedules for all building entrances will be changed to an “after-hours” schedule, meaning buildings will only be accessible via a research foundation issued access card or fob. If you require any special access outside of this schedule, please call (619) 594-5761 or email email@example.com.
Please note that all regular building services will remain on their usual schedule, including security and janitorial services. As a reminder, our janitorial service provider utilizes commercial grade cleaners and disinfectants and has implemented necessary measures to minimize the risk of exposure at our off-site properties. For example, they have added procedures to regularly sanitize all high touch areas within building common areas, such as door handles, rails and surfaces, and they have installed hand sanitizer dispensers in the lobbies of each building and on each floor. While our vendor has assured us they have adequate supplies at this time, we are unable to accommodate requests for additional quantities for individual use. We encourage you to follow best health practices by washing hands, not touching your face, and implementing social distancing.
Mail/Package deliveries for research foundation projects and staff
SDSU Logistical Services is suspending mail and package deliveries until further notice. Research foundation facilities staff will pick up U.S./inter-campus mail from Logistical Services, and distribute to our various central mail rooms at Gateway Center, Alvarado and Sky Park. Facilities staff will also retrieve packages from Logistical Services and deliver to a central holding area until deliveries resume on their normal schedules. If you are expecting any urgent or time sensitive packages, please contact us via email at firstname.lastname@example.org .
A minimal maintenance staff will be available to ensure support of research foundation buildings, properties, and remaining essential tenants. Please report any maintenance issues as you normally would to (619) 594-5761 or email@example.com. The (619) 594-5761 number is monitored 24 hours/day by our answering service, and they will be forwarding all calls to our maintenance staff. Please call this number for any building/property related emergency, such as a flood or power outage; this will ensure a faster response.
In the event of any life/safety emergency, please dial 911 and immediately give the dispatcher your location.
