Edit My Timesheet
Go to Main Menu > Myself > Time Sheet > Time Sheet Summary.
Change Dates
You can change the dates to which the timesheet applies.
- Click/tap the Change Dates button. The Pay Period Selector page appears.
- Use the drop-downs to select a day, month, and year.
- (Optional) To enter today’s date, click/tap the Go to Today button.
- The Select button text changes to show your choices. Click/tap the button to accept that date.
View Messages
You can view messages generated by EmpCenter at the Time Sheet Summary page. Messages are in one of the following categories:
- Informative—Confirmations
- Warning—Something is wrong, but you can continue.
- Error—This action cannot be completed unless the error is resolved.
- Click/tap the View Messages button.
- The Messages page appears. The page shows the date of the message and its text.
Note: Warning messages and error messages must be acknowledged. Click/tap the Acknowledge this Message button. EmpCenter displays a Message acknowledged button.
Add New Row
Timesheets are built by adding or duplicating rows. A timesheet row consists of the following items:
- pay code
- work date
- start time
- end time
- (optional) comments
You need to specify each of these items to add a new row. You may also need to certify your hours.
- Go to Main Menu > Time Sheet > Time Sheet Summary.
- Click/tap the Add New Row button. The New Row <date> Details page appears.
- Follow the instructions below for each field.
Pay Code
- Select a pay code type such as regular, overtime, or PTO from the Pay Code drop-down.
- Click/tap the Apply button.
Work Date
The Work Date field shows the last-used work date.
- To change the work date, click/tap the Edit Work Date button.
- The Edit Work Date page appears.
- Use the drop-downs to select a day, month, and year.
- The Select button text changes to show your choices. Click/tap the button to accept that date.
Start Time
- At the Start field, click/tap the Edit Start button. The Edit Start page appears.
- Use the drop-downs to select hours, minutes, and AM or PM for the starting time.
- The Select button text changes to show your choices. Click/tap the button to accept that time.
- (Optional) To start over, click/tap the Clear Value button.
End Time
- At the End field, click/tap the Edit End button. The Edit End page appears.
- Use the drop-downs to select hours, minutes, and AM or PM for the ending time.
- The Select button text below changes to show your choices. Click/tap the button to accept that time.
- (Optional) To start over, click/tap the Clear Value button.
Additional Entries
Your software may have additional fields, such as department, unit, building, or project, because EmpCenter may be configured differently at your site. The Project tasks below are examples only.
Project
- Click/tap the Project button to assign a project to this date and time. The Edit Project page appears.
- At the How do you want to enter Project? field, use the drop-down to select from the following options:
- Pick from suggested values—EmpCenter will make all current choices available. Use the drop-down at the Select new value field to choose.
- Type value—You must type a value in the Enter New Value field.
- Search all Project values—EmpCenter displays the current value. Enter a number or letter in the Enter search value field, and then click/tap the Search button.
- Click/tap the Select from results drop-down to choose a value or code.
- The Select button changes to show the current results. Click/tap the button to save the result.
- (Optional) To start over, click/tap the Clear Selection button.
- The New Row <number> Details page is updated with the project name in the Project field.
Certification
Verify the details you have entered, and then select the I certify these hours checkbox.
Note: Your configuration may not have this option.
Employee Comments
(Optional) Type comments.
Copy a Row
Copying a row is a quick way to add an additional row that has some settings that are similar or identical to the original.
- Go to Main Menu > Time Sheet > Time Sheet Summary.
- Click/tap the Details for Row <number> link.
- The Row <number> details page appears.
- Click/tap the Duplicate Row button at the bottom of the page.
- The Copied Row <number> page appears.
- Edit the copy as necessary. See Add New Row.
- (Optional) To delete the copy, click/tap the Delete button.
View Details
This option is for viewing current timesheet settings and message details only. To edit the settings, see Add New Row.
- Go to Main Menu > Time Sheet > Time Sheet Summary.
- Click/tap the Details for Row <number> link.
- The Row <number> details page appears.
- (Optional) To view system messages, click/tap the View Messages button.
- EmpCenter displays existing messages.
